In the last two years, creative industries have had their unique boom, which caused the current blossom of job positions in the field of digital art. One of these is Digital Compositing.
With the current pandemic came the presumption that the development of film and TV content would slow down. Yet the opposite became the reality. The industry of visual effects and post-production got a major expansion, followed by a deficiency in the job market on a global scale.
Due to a number of new and upcoming projects, Crater Studio is currently searching for future crew members. The first step towards this is training a certain number of new artists for a compositing role, which is why we received the honor of presenting a Crater scholarship for the Digital Compositing course at Crater Training Center.
Important note: The scholarship applies only to Serbia residents with lectures and the internship program held in Belgrade.
The chance to acquire digital compositing skills for film and video from experts at Crater will get up to 10 applicants. Everyone with tendencies towards fine arts, photography, film, filmmaking and video editing, and would like to try their hand at post-production, is invited to apply.
Digital Compositing: Application requirements
All interested can apply for a scholarship, no matter their previous work experience and education.
Being familiar with Adobe Photoshop is a must.
When applying, it is necessary to send a portfolio with representative digital artworks. Portfolios with analog works that candidates consider relevant to present their artistic and technical skills will also be accepted.
An internship at the studio is mandatory. The internship will be led by Crater Studio supervisors, and the project in question will be non-commercial. Best candidates will get a job opportunity at Crater.
Candidates need to reside in Belgrade. Digital Compositing course will be held at the Crater Training Center classroom (Knićaninova 3, Donji Dorćol, Beograd), with the internship program being held at the same location. A probable job position also involves working from the studio. The position is not remote.
The submission deadline for the scholarship is May 8th, 2022.
Anyone interested in applying for a scholarship, please send your CV and portfolio bojana.simic@craterstudio.com OR apply via this form in Serbian.

After the initial selection, all candidates will learn about the outcome via email. Candidates who enter the preliminary round will be called in for an interview. If the candidate didn’t meet the designated requirements for the scholarship, and if there is a vacant position, the candidate can enroll in the course at its own cost. All students will have an equal chance at getting the job after completing an internship at the Crater Studio.
Digital Compositing course at Crater Training Center will take place from 2nd June until 4th August 2022 and encompasses 116 school hours. Class is scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, and every other working Saturday, during five school hours.
